WHY SO CLOSE?
These days, when popular singers perform and the hall is overflowing, the practice is to make the listeners sit on the dais close to the group. But why do the accompanists position themselves so close to the main artiste, so much so that it obstructs the view for the audience and more so for the photographers?
SMART ACTION!
Clicking snaps during a concert may be an art but it becomes a tricky proposition at lec-dems. In most of the cases, the lecturer does not sing but speaks and vice versa with the students. So it needs a lot of patience on the part of the lensmen to wait for the correct moment and capture the entire group in action mode. It is really interesting to watch the photographers become alert and go `click, click' on such occasions.
GOURMET ATTRACTION
What has been the most interesting aspect of the Season? The increasing number of sabhas and concerts, listening to young musicians and meeting friends... Well a keen listener voted for the tempting spread of gourmet items at the canteens. Considering the crowd at the food stalls (some rasikas even plan their concerts for a taste of the delicacies) his choice is quite apt indeed!
SEASON'S RAGA
It looks as if the raga devatas are also whimsical. If they like or want to follow someone they do play a game. For example, one reviewer was all along shadowed this season by Purvikalyani in almost all the concerts. Last year, it was Latangi and the year before, it was Varali!
