At the Tiruttani temple, there is a dismal lack of knowledge about Muthuswami Dikshitar. However, the silver lining is that the authorities say they are open to suggestions which would help preserve and perpetuate the memory of this great composer, for instance, etching the ‘Tiruttani kritis’ on stone or celebrating ‘Dikshitar Day.’ Only a beginning has to be made.
