Music matters

Mobile, a bane

The mobile phone is a real bane in concerts. People walk in and out with it every time they receive a call, unmindful of the inconvenience and disturbance to others. And when they start moving/running between the stage and the front row, it disturbs the artistes on the stage also. Many years ago, when someone came late and came to sit in the front row, the Hindusthani musician just put his instrument down feeling irritated. If calls are so important why come to the concert at all?

Perfect ambience

It is a pleasure to enter the Raga Sudha hall where the soft drone of the tambura welcomes one. What can be more appropriate than a perfect sruti permanently filling the air, spreading serenity and harmony. Perfect ambience for music indeed!
