Ten-day fest

The seventh year art festival of Naadhabrahmam, monthly music journal, begins at the Dakshinamurti Auditorium of P.S. High School, Mylapore, on December 5.

At 6 p.m., M. S.Sundara Rajan(C.M.D- Indian Bank ) presides and confers the title Naada Kovida on S.R. Janakiraman, Nrithya Kovida on Vyjayantimala Bali, Naada Sevita on Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan and Nrithya Sevita on Meenakshi Chittaranjan. Felicitations will be offered by V.P. Dhananjayan, Dr.Va.Ve.Su and Mohan Parasaran. Jayalakshmi Sekar will present a veena recital at 4. 30 p.m. She will be supported by Thanjavur Subramaniam on the mridangam and H. Sivaramakrishnan on the violin. At 7 p.m., Jayalakshmi Eswar will present a Bharatanatyam recital. The 10-day festival concludes on December 15.
