Namasankeerthanam
The Thirupoonthuruthy Narayana Tirtha Swamigal Trust is organising the 12th mini music festival of Namasankeerthana Tarangas of Narayana Tirtha from December 11-13 at Narayani Ammal Kalyana Mandapam, Jet Nagar First Cross Street, New No. 2, Raja Annamalaipuram.
The fest will be inaugurated at 5.30 p.m. after which the Mambalam Sisters will present a concert. It will followed at 8 p.m. by a nagaswaram recital by Sheik Mahaboob Subhani and Kalisha Beevi.
On December 12, 4.30 p.m. Gayathri Venkatesan will present a recital and at 6.30 p.m., Lalitha and Nandini will present a violin duet. At 7.45 p.m., Namasankeerthana bhajan will be presented by O.S. Sundara Bhagavathar and party.
On December 13, 8.45 a.m., K. Kalyanarama Bhagavathar and party will present Unchavruti/ Radha Kalyanam. The title ‘Namasankeerthana Seva Ratna’ title will be conferred on Tiruvannamalai K. Pitchumani Bhagavathar at 11.45 p.m. At 4.15 p.m., Varalakshmi Ananda Kumar will present a concert followed by Akondy Srinivasa Raja Rao’s cconcert. At 6.30 p.m., Ambika Kameshwaran and her troupe will present ‘Sri Krishna Leela’, a dance drama after which a musical discourse ‘Rasa kridai’ by Alamelu and Subburaman will follow.
