"These are the minutes of the December 16, 2008 meeting of the Board of Directors of Satyam Computer Services Limited. In this meeting the Board discussed and approved the acquisition of Maytas Infra Limited and of Maytas Properties Limited for a total consideration of Rs 7,914.10 crore (US$1.615 billion). The scandalous acquisitions were aborted by a shareholders' revolt and after that it was downhill all the way for Satyam and its chairman, B. Ramalinga Raju."
