Glass - training programme

The Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS), New Delhi, a non-profit body dedicated to improvements in quality and efficiency in construction is organising a programme to train architects, builders, contractors and facility managers on `Selection of Appropriate Glass in Modern Buildings (with support of AIS Glass Solutions Limited) on March 18 (Saturday), Hotel Ambica Empire, No. 79, 100 ft Road, Vadapalani.

There is a wide range of glass available in India, each with specific properties, but there are several issues that remain to be resolved.

In the first phase CCPS covered 6 cities, in the second this year, it aims to train 1000 professionals covering 11 cities. The training course covers the basics of glass selection in relation to heat control, acoustics, thermal breakage, safety and security. The participants are also exposed to appropriate use of tempered glass, laminated glass, insulated glass and quality issues relating to these products.

The course is based on easy-to-use training manual published by AIS Glass Solutions Limited.

The fee for the one-day programme is Rs.1250.
