The ensuing Structural Engineers World Congress in Bangalore will be an eye-opener, writes RANJANI GOVIND

This is an engineering congress that would interest engineers, consultants, architects, project managers, academicians, students, R&D institutions, Government agencies and every professional connected with the building and construction industry.

After the U.S. and Japan, it is India’s privilege to host the third Structural Engineers World Congress (SEWC) 2007. Organised by SEWC Society, based in Bangalore along with SEWC Inc, USA , it is being hosted by the Association of Consulting Engineers, ACCE (India).

SEWC Inc, U.S., was founded in 1994 to bring Structural Engineers from around the world under one umbrella every four years. The first SEWC, was held in San Francisco in 1998 for addressing 2000 delegates from all over the world.
