Lift

Some apartments have lift from first floor that causes hardships to the senior citizens and those with health problems in climbing the 15 to 20 steps to reach it. For better utilisation, the builder should provide the lift from the ground floor itself for the benefit of the occupants and visitors.

Secondly, there should be a generator in every apartment. Else in case of power failure elders and others will find it tough to either climb up or come down. These issues should be considered by the builders while construction of residential buildings in particular.

Tiling

The builders provide tiles only for half of the bathroom walls. The slanted interface between the tiled and un-tiled portions breeds tiny insects and spiders which turn into a health hazard. Therefore, those buying flats should insist on getting the entire bathroom walls tiles.
