Filing applications

The application for regularisation must be made in Form 1 which has three parts from which you choose the appropriate form – One, the yellow application form for unauthorised layouts and plots in both converted and non-converted layouts. Two, the pink application form used in applying for change in land use. Three, the green form for dealing with building violations.

Read the FAQ in the hand book for understanding the norms prescribed for regularisation. Study the worked examples calculating the regularisation fee payable for various violations.

Take the help of an architect/engineer in filling up application and in calculating the fee.

If the building has more than two floors, a structural engineer has to certify that the building is safe.

Purchase the demand draft for the regularisation from any of the scheduled banks in favour of Commissioner, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike. The number of demand drafts to be purchased is mentioned in the application in Part 1 and Part 3. Depending on the regularisation sought for, you will have to purchase the Demand Draft.

In case you are applying for regularisation of land use, you need to take the draft in favour of the Commissioner, BDA.

The application contains a list of documents to be enclosed. Make sure they are enclosed along with all the demand drafts.

Hand over the filled up application forms at the centres specified in the handbook, but before that, make sure you have made a photostat copy of the application for your records.

Fill up the acknowledgements and checklist at Appendix A & B. Fill up the Appendix C containing the brief details of applications. Retain the acknowledgement. File only photocopies of all documents, self-attested. Do not enclose original documents.

(These steps to file an application for Sakrama-2007 are part of the FAQ brochure issued in public interest by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike)
