Property Expo gets under way in Kochi
The Property Expo, organised by the Kerala Builders Forum, got underway on Friday at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium grounds in Kochi. The builders under the Forum, participating in the expo, have projected the State as the best destination for investment with the government-supported projects such as the Vallarpadam international container terminal and a Special Economic Zone centre
d around the port, the Smart City project and other connected infrastructure projects coming up in the city and elsewhere in the State.
There are 40 builders participating in the event, offering a variety of housing options from a single studio apartment to a super-luxury apartment and villa .
The housing demands of Kochi is increasing and the estimates peg a high growth of 1.6 million square feet of commercial space alone coming up in the form of malls by 2009. Four financial institutions, the LIC Housing Finance, HDFC, SBI Housing Loan and ICICI Home Loan are also participating in the event that will conclude on Sunday.
