Sobha Developers in the process of finalising projects for Coimbatore

Bangalore-based Sobha Developers is in the process of finalising projects in Coimbatore.

“One year down the line we will launch about half a dozen projects in Tamil Nadu, mainly in Chennai and Coimbatore,” says T.P. Sanjaya Sarathy, its regional director.

Sobha is looking at three projects in Coimbatore.

One will be residential, another will be villas and the third one may be an integrated township.

However, all these are still in the conception stage, he adds.

The company, which is into real estate business in the country for the last 13 years and recorded Rs. 1189 crore turnover in 2006-2007, has plans for Chennai, Coimbatore and Hosur in Tamil Nadu.

Though it is pre-dominantly into residential projects, it is also getting into commercial and hospitality verticals. In Coimbatore too, “we are open to projects in these verticals provided we get good lands,” he says.

“We are in the process of signing agreements for lands for the projects under consideration,” says Mr. Sarathy.
