How the land value goes up with this rail system

Metro rail projects have had a positive impact on the country’s real estate scene in terms of pushing up the value of land adjoining the transport corridors, particularly in places that did not have easy access to the city hubs, believe observers.

The general international trend too has been for land value to appreciate adjacent to transport corridors.

Such projects also open up far-flung places to development, since the time required for commuting to the main city areas comes down. Places that are considered too distant to commute from, become attractive because of improved accessibility.
