To strengthen its marketshare this summer, Usha International, the leading consumer durable marketing company has come out with an all new product range including a new compilation of cooling options in the form of fans.
The company has unveiled a range of 23 fans that come in a price range of Rs.1,100 to Rs.40,000. Seeking to tap the super premium segment in the country, it also strengthened its tie-up with the US-based Hunter Fan Company to come up with a new Usha Hunter series which is available in the price range of Rs.10,000 to Rs.40,000.
In the super premium category, the company has launched three models of Usha Hunter fans --West Indies, Coronado and Bacall offering a reversible motor described as an industry first. When operated in the ‘normal’ direction during summers, these motors create a ‘wind chill’ effect thus reducing air-conditioning costs. But when operated in the ‘reverse’ direction during winters, they re-circulate warm air trapped at the ceiling throughout the room.
Usha International also commissioned Michael Foley, one of the best-known product designers for lifestyle products to design a range of fans under the lifestyle segment.
The first two fans to be launched in this series are ‘Signet’ and ‘Opera’. The other launches from the company include ‘Cabana’ which comes with a reverse operation option, ‘Azure’ which is an elegant fan with hand crafted wooden blades and forward and reverse operation and a motor with gold trims.
In the decorative segment, the company has fans with decorative ring and inverted blades that promise high air delivery, co-ordinated decoration on motor, blades and canopies, attractive jewel like decoration and an aesthetic colour option. A new addition to the range of table and pedestal fans has also been made, according to a press release. And for those looking for higher speeds, there are options in the form of fans that are equipped with an extra powerful motor for high air delivery.
And if you are looking for exhaust fans, air-circulators and strikers too, then an entire new range is available in the market.
