A peek: The expo provides an answer to the changing mindset of people in the city.

A festival of world class furniture, with popular brands known for their niche products from different countries apart from traditional and contemporary Indian furniture is being brought to city by Inner Space.

Inner Space, one of the biggest furniture, interiors and art showroom, with great ideas to deck up homes, is organising the event ‘Inner Space Affaire’ at its sprawling premises in Banjara Hills, Road. No.12 from April 5 to 13.

Inner Space Managing Partners Anjana Sanghi, Swati Sanghi and Managing Director Reeta Sanghi told media persons here on Thursday that the exhibition for the first time would bring to the city, world class furniture and international brands that were never on display before.

The festival will be an answer to the changing mindset of people in city who were looking for well-known brands and trendy and quality products. “The endeavour is more to create awareness, provide exposure to such brands which were so far confined to metros,” they said.

Inner Space, unlike other exhibitions, is responsible for the products sold, Ms. Anjana said.

The exhibition will have widest range from global brands like Noritake crockery, glassware and ceramic material from Japan, Damilano leather products from Italy, nursery décor from Bibs n Cribs, Artville master art cum furniture and interiors. The display would also have furniture in teakwood, carved wood furniture, procured from Orissa, Rajasthan, Udaipur, stone sculptures, plus the wide range of contemporary, fusion and ornate furniture of Inner Space.

The Inner Space would introduce its own fashion line during the exhibition. The apparel comprising fabrics sourced from traditionally popular places is designed to suit contemporary style, said Ms.Reeta. Part of the proceeds would go back to organisations from where the fabrics are sourced to help artisans.

The products would be priced at company rates for various brands, said Ms. Swati. Eminent interior designer Supraja Rao will inaugurate the exhibition .
