Gas water heater is economical, enviro-friendly and efficient
|
These days, a water heater is becoming an integral part of our everyday life. It can be estimated that a single family of four usually ends up using anywhere from 80 to 100 litres of heated water for shower, laundry and household cleaning chores. Since heating water typically ends up burning holes in the pocket, it becomes impe
rative to select a product which focuses on heating water efficiently.
Depending on the requirement, one can check from a wide variety of water heaters in the market from electrical to gas to solar.
Gas water heater is available as an option that is not only economical, energy-efficient and easy to operate. How does a gas water heater works?
When the tap is opened, the cold water enters the system and the in-built sensor triggers the release of gas into the burners.
The electronic unit then lights up the gas automatically through a two step procedure.
Multiple safety devices cut off the gas supply in case the burner fails to light up or extinguishes during operation.
The heater should be installed in a well-ventilated location but not in a place where it remains exposed to strong wind or rain.
If space permits, the gas cylinder can be placed in the proximity of water. The copper piping, which should never be concealed, can be done for gas transmission in case the distance between the water heater and cylinder is more.
If installed in the bathroom, one can look for the latest models of ‘Balanced Flue’ water heaters which are equipped with flue pipe to discharge the exhaust gases outside and provide fresh air intake.
Apart from being positioned as economical, the gas water heaters offer instant hot water.
