Roadmap for the realty sector

GIREM, a real estate and urban planning leadership summit, has announced that economist Jagdish Bhagwati will address a gathering of leaders in the realty industry on “Opportunities and challenges in the global economic landscape and building a new urban India.” GIREM — a global platform — will be held from May 14 to16 at Goa with stakeholders of real estate and urban planning. The theme for the inaugural year is “Where opportunities meet.R 21;

GIREM has also announced its Leadership Awards to honour excellence and best practices in the field. The awards will be a benchmark for the real estate and urban planning sector by recognising individuals and companies in the field.

A panel of jury lead by Santhosh Martin, CEO, DivyaSree, Manisha Girotra, MD, UBS India, and Anuj Puri, Country Head, JLL, will evaluate each nomination for leadership, innovation, excellence and best practices to select 11 winners.

The panel will follow a rigorous measurement based methodology to select the recipients in varied categories — Company of the Year; Real Estate Person of the Year; Company with Best Practice; Most Promising Future Company; Architecture Firm of the Year; Real Estate Consultant of the Year; Green Project of the Year; Best Urban Development Project of the Year; Construction Company of the Year; Project Management & Engineering Firm of the Year; and Investor of the Year.

GIREM, a Triple Tree Event, has been designed with focus on fostering partnerships and deals and will bring together developers, corporate consumers, hotel groups, retail groups, investors, architects, urban planners and policy makers from across India and the world.
