Project for Amritsar City Centre ready
Revealing that the project for the construction of New Amritsar City Centre has been finalised, Sukhbir Badal, President of ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) said that in the years to come the State would witness massive development works. Mr. Sukhbir, who took the meeting of senior officials of Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) and other departments, said that in the proposed project of New Amritsar City Centre, two five star hotels of 22 stories and 16 stories would be constructed. “The project has been finalised and very soon bids will be invited for the projects by private parties”, he said adding that for the development of Jalandhar, it has been decided to make optimum use of vacant land in the district by selling it off to initiate mega developmental projects. “Rs 200 crore will be spent to construct a ring road in Jalandhar, apart from other projects” officials who attended the meeting told reporters. Earlier, a Singapore based company JURANG gave its representation to develop section 62 of Mohali. - PTI
