Style, comfort and reduced power bills

A new range of water heaters is on offer for the Indian consumer

Indulge: The latest water heaters have multiple features.

Jaquar & Company Limited and AO Smith Water Products Company have announced a tie-up and will introduce an elite series in water heaters to the Indian consumer.

Jaquar, a known name in bath-fittings, will market AO Smith’s super premium and technologically advanced products. The products of AO Smith, the U.S.-based $ 2.3 billion company and a global leader in innovative technology and provider of energy efficient solutions, will be distributed by Jaquar through its network of 2,200 dealers spread across 22 cities in India.

Energy efficient

The AOS Jaquar water heaters have unique features and are energy efficient. Some features are better than the ISI requirements and the water heaters or the geysers have better insulation than competing products, claims the company.

For example, the EWJ model, which comes in 15 and 25 litres capacity, has a dual glass-lined heating element that reduces electricity bills and increases the life of the heating element and heats water faster. The model priced at Rs. 7,750 (15 litres) and Rs. 8,700 (25 litres) will have a Blue Diamond Glass Coating formula, the best against corrosion.

According to company sources, this means the products offer the best protection against premature tank failure. The thicker steel inner tanks (23 per cent stronger than stainless steel in terms of metal) and other materials used in the products are certified for optimum working pressure, making them ideal for high rise apartments or even for bungalows where water pressure is high.

The products are user-friendly with digital display, utility meter, on/off timer, corded remote features and they come with changeable decorative panels in eight colours that can go with the ambience of each toilet or individual taste.

The premium range will also have added features such as anode rod protection, multi-function safety valve, surface-mounted thermostat and thermal cut-out.

The price ranges between Rs. 5,700 and Rs. 20, 900 and the company offers a four-year warranty on exclusive glass-coated elements.
