Gold for TATA Housing

Real estate company TATA Housing received a Gold Certification from the Indian Green Building Council’s (IGBC) Green Homes rating for residential space for its Raisina Residency, Gurgaon, New Delhi. The evaluation process of the certification was based on parameters such as site selection and planning, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials, internal environment quality and innovation and design process.

IGBC Green Homes is the first rating programme developed in India exclusively for the residential sector. It is based on accepted energy and environmental principles and strikes a balance between known established practices and emerging concepts.

Brotin Banerjee, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, TATA Housing, said, “The certificationis satisfying as the project aims to balance environmental responsibility, resource efficiency and occupants’ comfort.”

Raisina Residency, built on the theme of art and culture in Gurgaon, has been successful in winning an award for Best Development Marketing and Best Architectural Design in the residential category at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2009. Spread across a sprawling 11.73 acre campus, Raisina Residency has nine aesthetically designed towers that complement modern lifestyle and are packed with luxuries with apartments, duplexes and penthouses. The master plan ensures that flats get an unhindered view of both the Aravallis and the city landscape, designed by AEDAS.
