Nolte’s new kitchen
One of the largest producers of fitted kitchens and bedrooms, Germany-based Nolte Home Studio, has announced special innovations in technology with the introduction of its new kitchen design ‘Matrix 150.’ Nolte has five exclusive showrooms in four metros showcasing kitchens and bedrooms, including the latest 2009 collection.
Speaking about the introduction of the revolutionary ‘Matrix 150,’ Hans Hagelmann, CEO, Nolte Kuchen, said, “We have always reinvented ourselves when it comes to technology innovations. ‘Matrix 150’ refers to the technology we have introduced into our kitchens which applies to the height, width and depth, thus reaching all three dimensions, with unified alignment of the elements making the kitchen have more storage space not just in the wall units but also in the pullout units. Engineered wood flooring
Italia Wood Interiors (joint venture of the Italia Group), in collaboration with Margaritelli Group of Italy, offers a range of high-end engineered wood flooring under the brand ‘Listone Giordano,’ known worldwide for its excellence in premium hardwood flooring.
With satin semi-gloss and satin matt finishes, artistic textures of straight veins and a mixture of straight/winding veins and dimensions ranging from 1190 mm to 2400 mm, Listone Giordano’s floors have structured and counterbalanced birch multilayers that are resistant to warp or shrinkage or any other dimensional/structural instability. The varnishes on the top of the wood are stain-resistant. However, like other flooring options, it is advised to clear the stain area with a damp cloth as soon as possible. Harder stains can be wiped off using vinegar on a cloth. This collection of engineered hardwood is available in colours ranging from yellow tone of Canadian Maple to Brown Oak, Dark Brown of Iroko, Reddish of Cabreva Vermelha and the Chocolate Dark tones of Oak Noir and Wenge. Price ranges from Rs. 5,600 to Rs. 20,000 per square metre.
Schwing Stetter India (subsidiary of Schwing Gmbh, Germany), known in the Indian concrete equipment industry, has launched a new truck-mounted concrete pump. Called ‘S-36,’ it is the fifth improved variant of concrete pump to join the Schwing Stetter’s range of truck-mounted concrete pumps in India.
The S-36 is ideal for the three-axle truck variety, and has an output of 90 cubic metres of concrete per hour. The pump allows for placement of concrete at distances of more than 100 feet vertically and 90 feet horizontally. Designed to international standards, the S-36 is fuel efficient and demands minimal maintenance, and can pump concrete up to 10 floors.
Speaking at the launch, Anand Sundaresan, MD, Schwing Stetter India, said, “With technology playing an increasingly important role in the construction sector, enabling clients to optimise their investments, the latest launch is perfected to reduce large percentages of errors, while being cost-effective.”
Schwing Stetter India has also been recognised internationally for the world record set by the company in pumping concrete vertically up to a height to 715 metres for the Parbati hydro-electric project in Suind village, Himachal Pradesh.
The project, implemented by the National Hydro-electric Corporation, is a run-of-the-river scheme, proposed to harness hydro potential of the lower reaches of river Parbati.

The awards were conferred at The Majorda Beach Resort, Goa, and the function was presided over by the Chief Minister of Goa, Digambar Kamat.
Leaders of India’s real estate sector, including heads of real estate companies and industry stalwarts, graced the occasion.
The awards featured trophies in 10 categories based on GIREM’s survey. Sweden-based Pergo has introduced its latest ‘Expression Ship Deck Collection.’
Although natural wood is the most sought-after flooring material because of its rich texture, it is difficult and costly to maintain. Pergo, dealing with laminate floors, seeks to offer natural flooring to suit dens, study rooms, libraries and living rooms.
