Real estate franchising network enters Kochi
It is perhaps an indication of some market momentum that a real estate franchising network, ReMax India, has entered Kochi.
ReMax says a study conducted by it shows that the property trends are going to change within two years. N.P. Thomas, the master franchise for ReMax in Kerala, says the company will bring in professionalism in land deals.
The idea is to make the customer comfortable with the buy. This involves finding all the details about the land, and the franchise firm will be taking up the risks involved, Mr. Thomas says.
Feedback from non-resident Indians has been significant in the company developing its work based on their needs.
As the customer will be dealing with a professional company, sentiments will not be part of the deal as it will be in case of having a middleman who will be a relative or friend.
A road show held by the company recently in Kochi had quite a few takers to join as franchisees as well as agents or associates. The company will take six months to a year in setting up a network in Kerala before it starts business.
