Taking sound absorption to a new level
Having premises with good acoustics is more often related with walls and ceilings having pitted surfaces. And seeking to redefine this notion and promising to take sound absorption to a new level while enhancing aesthetics, Saint-Gobain has launched Ecophon Master Solo.
A Class-A free hanging sound absorber, Ecophon Master Solo comes as a right solution for a wide array of attractive and smart design applications, according to a press release from the company.
The product has been designed for absorption performance across the speech frequencies to improve person to person communication.
It has sound absorption for frequencies above 250 Hz and also provides high absorption for low frequencies.
The Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is put above 0.9 thus making it particularly well suited for rooms where maximum absorption throughout the frequency range is desirable. It is also ideal in areas where there is low-frequency disturbance from ventilation systems or external sources such as traffic noise.
Made of over 70 per cent recycled content of glass wool, Master Solo is light weight, easy to install and gives the ceiling a whole new aesthetic dimension, Saint-Gobain says. The free hanging option enhances its capabilities of offering several different designs to provide a wide choice of aesthetic. The product has been positioned as a green and 100 recyclable one.
The application areas include classrooms, libraries, open plan offices, conference halls, reception areas and showrooms and are available at the Saint-Gobain Gyproc distribution network across the country.
