Golden words
A humble beginning in 1989 with just one showroom is today fifteen stores strong and is called Khazana Jewellery! By the end of 2007, the chain will amplify to 23 showrooms in South India.
It is obvious that the customers in South India continue to enthusiastically patronize the yellow metal and as Kishore Jain, Managing Director, Khazana Jewellery explains, “The entire retail jewellery industry has grown dramatically in the past few years. Our sales jumped up by nearly 30% in the past year alone and I feel the growth has a lot to do with the booming economy.”
Talking on the purchasing power of individuals, Kishore says, “Not only has the spending power of the customers changed but the retail concepts have been altered as well.” The inclusion of reputed companies and brands in the industry has raised the bar, he adds, attributing changes to the very many professional companies that have made the sector very organized.
New designs, assured quality and competitive prices ensure that anytime is a good time to indulge. Kishore Jain feels that competition has been good for the market. “There is a strong demand for all categories of jewellery, be it daily wear collection or heavy weight wedding sets,” he opines, “While quality and design are always sought, pricing is a key factor, particularly since youngsters opt for light weight and delicate designs.” Khazana Jewellery offers a ‘lowest price guarantee card’ with every purchase, which serves as an assurance from the jeweller that the price is the best.
Firmly believing that the Khazana collection has added value because every piece of jewellery is hallmarked by BIS and all the diamond jewellery have IGI certification, Kishore Jain explains, “Today’s clientele are very clear what they want and they look for the best and our jewellery is assurance that customer gets the best quality and purity.”
