BASIL. The name of the restaurant says it all. Named after the famed Tulsi leaf, the restaurant offers pure vegetarian delicacies from a variety of world cuisines. Located in Banjara Hills (Rd 2), the 130-seater restaurant is a veggie’s delight. Equal importance is accorded to cuisines including Indian, Continental and Chinese. “Most of the standard vegetarian specialty restaurants dish out routine stuff from Indian cuisine ignoring the other cuisines. There’s a world of delicacies waiting to be explored in other global cuisines and that’s what we enable our customers to do” says Mr. Kiran MD of Basil. The exclusive Mocktail bar is the most striking feature at Basil. The one of its kind counter offers a mind-boggling array of signature concoctions made of non-alcoholic contents. “Our Mocktail bar offers a wide range of ice based and cream based drinks to appease the discerning customer who loves to nurse a drink before food. Though all the drinks are purely non-alcoholic, they more than make up for regular drinks” adds Mr. Kiran.
The place which is open for lunch and dinner offers a wide mix of world cuisines dished out by experienced chefs. While the typical corporate crowd converges there for lunch, it is families, couples and even expatriates during dinner time. The décor is very contemporary yet pleasant.
