Shades & moods
COLOURS play a major role in creating a mood or ambience inside a room. ‘Right colour for the right room’ is the dictum that goes a long way in creating the apt environment inside a room.
Hospitals use a lot of green on their walls as green symbolizes progress and good health. Likewise, orange and pink too are used extensively to replicate cheer and well being.
Happiness, joy, cheer, well being, prosperity and a plethora of emotions are directly linked to colours. Homes or offices with the right colour schemes are a huge hit with both corporate companies and individuals with a penchant for good living. “A lot of people approach us to get structural amendments to their homes or work places to create the right ambience. In most cases we suggest fresh colour schemes and that does the trick.
Sometimes people do not even know what needs to be done to get that right feel and that’s when we suggest colour scheme alterations” says Bhaskar, the chief Architect of a leading firm dealing with interior decoration.
Talking about the latest fads in interior decoration, Mr. Manoj Gupta of Kraft Werk says “Beige and shades of brown and cream are recommended for living rooms as they are universal in nature and blend in with any setting. Bold colours in fluorescent shades are a great variation though. Colours like red, pink, yellow and even lavender make for great bedrooms as they have the ability to create a unique ambience that takes the inmates into a different world of their own. Fancy colours should however be used in family rooms and bedrooms only as they send out a strong statement.”
The corporate world is also quite enamoured with the colour mania as is evident in the recent trend of frequent make-overs a lot of companies are going in for. Colours impact workplaces very prominently as they not only have the power to act as mood elevators but also the negative trait of distracting the employees. “Using intense colours like red, black or dark brown does not make sense in areas where employees are driven by high work pressure.
Soft colours like cream, off-white or baby pink leave that soothing impact to ease the pressure cooker scenario. Likewise, using bright colours like orange, yellow, magenta and electric blue is perfect for advertising agencies, studios and consultancies where youthful exuberance is the theme. Grey, beige and enamel colours add that touch of understated elegance to corporate companies. Defying convention, bold colours are now in vogue. However, the ratio is still 70-30 in favour of neutral colours as bold colours are limited to certain areas only, be it offices or homes” opines Mr. Manoj Gupta.
If your imagination too is running a riot of colours then just go ahead and drape your home or workplace in a truly uplifting hue or shade. Contact Kraft Werk on 98490 18532.
