ANAGHA – pure and beautiful


ANAGHA is the latest destination in the twin cities for ethnic wear. Located just off Road No. 1, Banjara Hills (in the lane beside the Post Office) it has a wide range of Sarees, Salwar Sets, Fabric, Cholies and Dupattas. It was inaugurated on 8th February, 2008.

Anagha means “pure and beautiful” in Sanskrit. Keeping this in mind, Sarvamangala, the owner of the store, has designed a store which lookssimple and beautiful.

At Anagha you will find Sarees from Mangalagiri : with khadi as well as hand block prints from Jaipur, Tussar sarees from Champa (Chattisgarh) and Bhandara, Kalamkari Sarees in Chiffon, Crepe, Maheshwari and Georgette, Ikkat Sarees in soft cottons, Ikkat sarees with Kalamkari prints, Narayanpet Cotton sarees that are ideal for daily wear, Kanchipuram Sarees in Pure Cotton and Silk-Cotton in the latest designs and colours, Chettinad Cottons in vivid colours and borders, Pure Silks sarees from Arni in bright colours.... some of them with exquisite embroidery too.


The Salwars Kameez collection comprises hand block printed sets in soft muls, Mangalagiri Cottons, Ikkat Kalamkaris, Narayanpets, Chettinads, Mangalagiris with Kutch work, Mangalagiris with Kalamkari applique work and Kalamkari sets in Silk-Cotton.

Thereis a wide range of fabrics to choose from. Startingwith plain colours in Mangalagiri cottons, to Mangalagiris with zari and thread borders, self checks and missing checks and Ikkats with kalamkari prints.

The USP of Anagha is the ready to wear cholies that come in various colours, sizeand fabrics. Sizes range from 34 to 42. The range comprises cholies in simple block prints that can be worn everyday to the more elaborate ones with hand embroidery and sequins that are meant for special occasions. You’ll find low backs, stringy backs and halter necks...to name a few designs. They can be teamed up with the Sarees at Anagha which make a great combination. Anagha is open Monday to Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
