Can’t live without O2

Cinematographer G Ramesh is a gadget freak and he lists his O2 on top of his collection

He gave us exotic visuals of Switzerland in the Ajith starrer ‘Alwar’, and dreamy scenes of our very own India in ‘Naalai’. Ask cinematographer G. Ramesh what his prized gizmo is and he begins to talk about his phone, which he values the most in his personal collection. “I cannot live without my O2 phone. It has an amazing life, and I have an astounding collection of about 1,000 SMSes. I would never want to buy another phone, ever!” He recounts the time when this beloved gizmo crashed and he “…made sure that I retrieved all my data, as I couldn’t think of buying another mobile.”

Besides the phone, he has a black 80GB video Apple Ipod which he carries with him most of the time. He says, “I have downloaded all my favorite movies and music onto my Ipod, and I never leave town without it. I also make sure that I update my Ipod whenever I have the time. It holds about 60 movies, and 1,000 songs, and its capacity never ceases to amaze me.”

But his latest and newest gadget is his black Apple Mac Book with a 15 inch screen that he has been obsessed with lately. He has been using it to watch his favorite movies. “I have watched ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Enemy at the Gates’ so many times on my laptop, that I have lost count. Its sleekness and the quality of sound are amazing.”
