Moksh from High Prices
MOKSH literally means gaining freedom and that’s what is on offer at the popular eatery with the same name in Secunderabad. Moksh, the up-market restaurant has just launched a brand new Thali which actually provides moksh from high prices. The new offering from the plush restaurant comes across as an oasis in the raging summer heat what with its incredibly low pricing. The typical south Indian Thali costs just about Rs 99 (veg platter) and Rs 129 (non-veg platter). The just launched Thali is proving to be a major success as it comes as a boon to the man on the move who is looking for a quick, quality bite in chilled out ambience at a price that doesn’t burn a hole in his pocket.
Speaking further about it, Dilip of Moksh says “There’s a popular perception that quality and economy are exclusive of each other. The new Thali from Moksh aims to change that. For just about Rs 99 and Rs 129, we serve unlimited south Indian fare replete with a 3 course meal. Of course, the non-veg dishes are served in a good albeit limited quantity. The Thali serves Pooris, Venpongal, Rice, Curries, Dal, Sambar, Curd, Pickle, Papad, Dessert and other dishes which is quite a deal considering the price.” The menu is cyclic and changes every single day giving foodies yet another reason to indulge. As of now the Thali served only during lunch time.
Elaborating about the idea behind introducing the Thali concept, Dilip quips “There’s a real dearth of up-market restaurants which serve quick, quality meals at an affordable price. Most of the A league eateries dish out buffet meals which are very elaborate and expensive. We felt that on typical working days, businessmen and professionals are not really in the mood to indulge or splurge. All they would look for is, good, value for money fare served in classy ambience.
Moksh is known for its top-end ambience, great food and prompt service. We put all these ingredients into a smaller, affordable package and came up with the Thali idea.
Our Thali is all about great food, superb ambience and lightning quick service.” Well McDonalds which prides itself on offering yesterday’s prices today has got some serious competition from Moksh.
