Pet shops are a dog lover’s paradise offering a multitude of products from basics like bowls, collars, leashes and pet foods to a variety of cute toys and chew sticks. Then you have food supplements, shampoos, conditioners, powders and doggie beds in different designs and sizes. You also get vitamin and calcium supplements and many brands of dog biscuits. The choice is quite amazing.
Pet foods are available in brands like Royal Canin, Pedigree, Nutripet, Benis Kronen, Butch and Wag. The dry foods are available in ½ kilo packs, 1 kilo, 3 kilos, 10 kilos and 15 kilos. A half-kilo pack of Pedigree costs around Rs..60-65. A 15-kilo pack costs Rs.4,500 (Royal Canin) to Rs.1,350 (Nutripet). Butch has a Blue and a White label with offerings in 800 gms, 2 kilos and 3 kilos. An 800gm pack would range from Rs.150 to Rs..175. Wag’s 3-kilo pack costs Rs.425.
Many brands like Tea Tree, Silky Touch, Sheen and Kleen, No-Tix and Cisaflux offer dog shampoos. Prices range from Rs.40-Rs..300. Some pet shops even offer imported Chinese shampoos and conditioners.
Brands like Nutribix, Glenand and Champion offer dog biscuits. Prices range from Rs.30 upwards. A 1kg pack of Nutriibix would set one back by Rs.115.
Dog beds come in different shapes and sizes and the prices range from Rs.350-Rs.1,000.
Leashes and collars start fromRs.35 and could go up to Rs.180 or more for the fancier ones.
