Tete-a-tete with Shruti Hassan
How did u come up with name? Why Shruti Hassan and Extrementals and not just Extrementals?
The name was something all of us were mulling over for a while. We had many options some serious, some not so serious. We wanted my name there, well... cause I sing and decided to add something to that. Our drummer Jeremiah came up with that word, and we thought it was really unique as that word doesn’t really exist but it described our band pretty well.
What’s the genre of music you play?
The music is hard to slot as it travels through various sounds and influences. I guess ‘alternative’ is the umbrella term that works best!
Is it true you would be doing movies now? If yes what about the band?
Yes it’s true, and I am really looking forward to acting as well. I am looking forward to doing both singing and acting as they are both challenging opportunities for me as a performer. I don’t think anything is impossible and I am excited to balance both the acts. Of course it does require some logistical planning, etc.
