Prohive.com is a site for creative professionals to create and showcase their porfolios

Sriram Gopal, founder of Synamen Pvt Ltd and a photographer, faced difficulties in nailing down the right candidate for his first web development company. As most business ideas are personal-need driven, the same was in the case with Sriram who started Prohive.com, a platform for creative professionals to showcase their portfolios for free.
Currently the portal has enlisted 160 odd creative professions including actors, choreographers, instrumentalists, graphic designers, art therapists, DJs and cartoonists who dream to make their career big.
Although there are other international players in this space, Sriram says, "We assessed all their functionalities and then created a new one with a few exclusive add-ons." So what is that makes Prohive unique? "Once people sign up, they get an instant website for free where they can upload their work - pictorial, video and audio, upload their resume and work profile details. They can import this website to their email contacts directly without the hassle of attachments because it is a non-flash website," says Sriram.
The homepage of every user has options to network, share their work and also recommend it to like-minded professionals. The website is user friendly and provides scope to be creative. "There are templates to choose from and one can set the portfolio settings in their website," adds Sriram.
When it comes to safety, Sriram assures that is protected. He adds, "Many creative professionals are insecure about the copyright issue but Prohive is a platform where the respective art work is safe. There is no right-click option where the art work can be downloaded by others viewing it."
Ask him about development plans for the site and Sriram signs off, "We are in the process of developing certain interesting add-ons and we are simultaneously working on the modules to bridge the demand-supply gap."
