Where's the party?

Where were Chennaiites partying this week? What kept the kings of commerce, dream merchants of Kollywood and the rajahs of retail entertained after a hard day's work? We pop up at the party to find out..

A Spanish serenade

The Sheraton Park Hotel hosted a cocktail dinner showcasing the facets of Spain, with Virendar Razdan, General Manager going that extra mile to ensure that guests got into the spirit of the evening. A Flamenco performance followed by a spread of Spanish cuisine by Chef Guillermo Hidalgo had people savouring tapas and other spicy delights.

A Malaysian perspective

If it's a home overseas, then Malaysia is the destination for you says The Malaysian Property Inc(MPI), a government of Malaysia initiative. The jamboree was in town at the Hyatt hosting a dinner party for the rich and the fabulous. Present at the evening were Malaysian Consul general Anuar Kasman and his wife Maryani.

Upwardly mobile

For those seeking to become global citizens, Ranjini Manian's The Upwardly Mobile is just the book. The CEO of Global Adjustments deals with the nitty gritties of understanding native cultures in interactions, be they business or social. Dr. Sumantran, Executive Vice Chairman, Hinduja Automotive and Jennifer Mcintyre, Consul General of the US Consulate launched the book recently.

Fashionable launch

The launch of Canali Nawab and Etro jackets was hosted at the Luxxe Box store at Express Avenue last week by usually elusive industrialists TT Vardarajan and TT Siddarth. Models wearing the jackets walked down the store as guests and patrons enjoyed the unique show. Spotted at the showing were Lankalingam, Mithun Sacheti, Madhuvanthi Arun, sisters Lakshmi and Saraswathi, Gopika Varma and Ritu Khemka.
