Pruning sapota

Is it advisable to prune the sapota trees in our five-acre garden as they seem to be infested with leaf spots?

It is not the right season in Tamil Nadu to prune sapota as the harvest is due on the current season's shoot. To control leaf spot infestation you may spray 2gms blue copper diluted in one litre of water.
