FARM QUERIES

Waste water

I have about 200 sq feet of muddy area in my houses where I plan to plant some trees. Kindly suggest some plants, which can be irrigated with water used for cleaning our utensils and clothes.

V. Muralidharan
Chennai

Water used for cleaning utensils and clothes should not be used for watering the plants as the water may contain many harmful chemicals particularly, caustic soda. Moreover, plants cannot grow well in muddy area.
