FARM QUERIES

Flower fail

It is nearly two months since my 60 different hybrid hibiscus plants have not borne any flowers. Is there any method to induce flowering in these plants?

S. SRINIVASAN
Chennai

It is not clear whether the plants are annuals or perennials. Hibiscus requires good sunlight and the soil should be free from water logging. You can try spraying some flowering hormones and apply micronutrient s at the root zone at regular intervals
