Clarification

The article on Spirulina Low investment, high income published in the Agriculture page, May 24, 2007 was based on an interview with Mr. Retna Raja Singam, programme Co-ordinator of OFfer.

The Antenna Trust of Madurai has questioned some of the statements. The claim that there is a good market for spirulina is not correct and the awareness is only growing.

The claim of a daily harvest of one kg of dry spirulina is not correct and should be 350-400 gm daily. The botanical name of spirulina mentioned in the article is correct.
