Plant extract

I am interested to know whether any plant extracts are available or can be made to control pests which affect my apple and wheat fields?

S. Gurbajhan Singh

Ludhiana

About 300 grams of garlic can be lightly grinded and soaked in 150 ml of kerosene for 24 hours, after which it can be mixed in about 60 litres of water and sprayed for an acre. This can control a wide spectrum of pests such as cotton bollworm, aswini fly, fruit borer, red spider mite and sugarcane borer. For details on different plant extracts and their uses contact Mr. S. Aravindan, Social scientist, Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari - 629 702, Tamil Nadu, India, email. ngc_vknardep@sancharnet.in and vknardep@gmail.com, mobile: 9443748714, phone: 04652 246296 and 04652 247126.
