FARM QUERIES

Pruning and yield

Will cutting the dry branches of my mango tree decrease the yield?

S. Varalakshmi

Kovvur, Andhra Pradesh

Cutting the dry branches does not affect the yield. After cutting the dry branches you may spray 2ml of endosulphan diluted in one litre of water over the entire tree. If you are practising organic farming then you can spray Panchgavya all over the tree crown.
