Asafoetida and crop yield
I have heard that asafoetida boosts crop yield. Is it true? Is there any farmer who is practising this method?

A farmer named Mr. K.M. Chellamuthu at Karukkamapalaym village, Oonchalur post, Kodumudi via, Erode district in Tamil Nadu, phone: 04204-266127, mobile: 9486602389 has standardized the practice of using asafoetida for increasing yield in ribbed gourd and moringa trees. He ties about one kg of asafoetida in a gunny bag and keeps it at the entrance of the irrigation channel while irrigating the crops. The method is effective in increasing yield and also preventing nematode attacks, according to the farmer. Several farmers in the district have started practising this method.
