Can humic acid be used for growing plants?

Akbar Bhasha

Tamil Nadu

Humic acid can be ideally used as a nutrient for crops. The cost of the acid is considerably low acompared to other inputs. A farmer, Mr. V. Veeraraghavan at Mudaiyur village in Thirukazhikundram, Tamil Nadu is using humic acid spray for growing watermelon in his 100 acres. The farmer is able to get about 12 tonnes of fruit yield from an acre in about 2 months and says the yield has increased from 10 to 12 tonnes (an acre) after using humic acid spray. For more details the farmer can be contacted on his mobile: 9894145143.
