Sudhakar, Parikh in lead

SALEM, MAY 20 International Master N. Sudhakar Babu of Indian Bank, Chennai, and Valay Parikh of Gujarat continued to lead with 5.5 points each at the end of the sixth round of the Golden Squares FIDE rated all- India Open chess tournament at Thyagarajan Polytechnic here on Saturday.

Sudhakar Babu and Valay Parikh drew their game in 33 moves. The second board encounter between the former State champion S. Mari Arul (S. Railway) and Ebenezer Joseph (P & T) turned out to be a long-drawn affair lasting 75 moves before the players agreed to draw.
