Naveen denies tapping phones
BHUBANESWAR, JULY 13. The Orissa Chief Minister, Mr. Naveen
Patnaik, has denied that his Government had ordered tapping of
telephones of several politicians, belonging to both the
Opposition and the ruling BJD-BJP alliance.
``I categorically deny this allegation which is baseless,
malicious and politically motivated,'' Mr. Patnaik said while
replying to the debate on the budgetary demand relating to the
Home Department in the State Assembly last night.
