 PM rejects resignations of Shiv Sena Ministers
The `Bal Thackeray eclipse' of the Vajpayee Government lasted only a few hours today when the Prime Minister, Mr. A.B. Vajpayee, rejected the resignations of the three Shiv Sena nominees - Mr. Manohar Joshi, Mr. Suresh Prabhu and Mr. Balasahib Vikhe-Patil - from the Union Council of Ministers.

Age does not matter: Boeing
The Boeing Company, manufacturers of the B-737- 200 aircraft involved in the Patna crash killing 51 persons on board, today tried to dispel the theory that the age of an aircraft affected its efficiency.

Alliance Air plane grounded
An Alliance Air commander today declined to operate a Boeing 737 (call sign VT-EHE) on the Mumbai-Udaipur- Jaipur route (CD 7493) as the ``auto pilot was unserviceable''.

An Indian Airlines flight carrying 72 passengers developed a technical snag shortly before landing at the Amausi airport here late last night, airport officials said today.
