Basu dares Centre to impose President's rule
Burying talk of retirement, the Chief
Minister, Mr. Jyoti Basu, today said he would personally lead
West Bengal's counter-campaign against Delhi's effort to impose
President's rule on the Marxist-ruled State.

Chadha's plea rejected
The Supreme Court today dismissed a Special
Leave Petition filed by Mr. Win Chadha, an accused in the `Rs. 64
crores Bofors payoffs case', against the Delhi High Court's order
rejecting his plea to go to Dubai for treatment.
Govindacharya not in list
