By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI, NOV. 24. In a major crackdown on dumping and inflow of
sub-standard imports into the domestic market, the Government
today invoked the provisions of the Standards of Weights and
Measures (Packaged Commodity) Order of 1977 on all packaged
imports. Additionally, it has made it mandatory for import of 131
products to conform to Indian quality standards as applicable to
domestic goods.
