Govt. crackdown on dumping

NEW DELHI, NOV. 24. In a major crackdown on dumping and inflow of sub-standard imports into the domestic market, the Government today invoked the provisions of the Standards of Weights and Measures (Packaged Commodity) Order of 1977 on all packaged imports. Additionally, it has made it mandatory for import of 131 products to conform to Indian quality standards as applicable to domestic goods.
