Clarification

Ms. Fiona Soh, Senior Officer, Corporate Communications, EDB Singapore, writes:

This refers to the report entitled ``Ma Foi in pact with EDB Singapore'' on November 22. The report has stated that EDB retained Ma Foi Management Consultants to ``exclusively source talent for Singapore corporates.'' There is no exclusivity involved in the working relationship between Ma Foi and EDB, as EDB retains the rights to work with more than one company and organisation to serve the recruitment needs of our client companies.

The report also alludes to the fact that Ma Foi has made a new pact with EDB and has been ``retained'' for future projects. This is not factually accurate. EDB worked with Ma Foi on a recruitment project in September since then, no further arrangements have been made with regard to new recruitment projects.
