150 Maoists killed in Nepal
KATHMANDU, JULY 14. Over 150 Maoist insurgents were killed early
today in clashes with Nepal's army, which is looking for
policemen held captive by the rebels, army sources told AFP. The
insurgents were killed in a series of incidents in far western
Nepal, in which at least three soldiers were also injured. The
army had surrounded the village of Holery, and was pressing the
Maoists to hand over 71 policemen they had snatched three days
ago.
