Jewellery removed from suitcase
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, JULY 15. Twenty six sovereigns of jewellery were stolen
from the house of a leather merchant on Vivekananda Street,
Kodungaiyur, late on Saturday night.
According to the police, the merchant had packed the jewellery in
a suitcase as he and his family were to leave for Tiruchi today
to attend a function. As he had left the suitcase near the window
of his bedroom, thieves were able to open it and remove the
jewellery.
