Ex-Minister's aide runs amok
By Our Staff Correspondent
BHOPAL, AUG. 24. A gunman attached to a former Minister today
went berserk near the Krishi Upaj Mandi office close to the
Secretariat and fired more than two dozen rounds from his carbine
following a petty quarrel. But no one was injured.
The gunman, a head constable with the 7th SAF Battalion had an
altercation with a boy near a cycle shop. They were joined by
some residents of the area, and they started pelting stones at
each other. The gunman loaded his carbine and opened fire in a
fit of rage. He later surrendered to the police.
